I Hope Neil Young Will Remember…
A Southern Man Don’t Need Him Around Anyhow!
So Neil Young is going after the Southern Man again eh? In this case, the Southern Man is Joe Rogan, arguably the most popular and influential voice in media today. The Joe Rogan Experience, now firmly planted into the soils of Austin, Texas, receives a staggering amount of listeners compared to any other media outlet.
That is an absurd delta in numbers compared to the conventional news outlets. There are reasons for that, with the main one being that Rogan isn’t saying the same exact scripted message as every other main stream media voice or the echos coming from the hills of Hollywood. Nor is he preaching to a gullible mass of useful idiots. Joe Rogan doesn’t preach. That’s why people listen.
For any artist to call for the censoring of another artist just absolutely blows my mind. For Neil Young, a man with a long history of calling out governmental overreach, to become just another blind voice of that overreach is an irony too rich for my blood. Thankfully, as of right now - Spotify has too much to lose in their Joe Rogan investment and have let Neil go…
It would be interesting to see how many listeners Neil Young is pulling in on Spotify compared to Rogan, but guessing the numbers don’t quite match…
All that being said, Neil Young has been one of my favorite songwriters / musicians since I was a kid and it pains me to see what COVID has done to him and so many others like him. Only love can break his heart, but it’s obvious that COVID got his soul.
Neil’s old. No doubt about it. The dude can still sing like he was in his twenty’s while the rest of his contemporaries have long been sidelined by father time’s inevitable reach. But he’s still old. Unfortunately COVID impacts the old the most and he has become fearful for his life like all his other basement dwellers too afraid to see reason, too blind to see the truth. The only thing in their eyes is their ultimate demise.
So I pity Neil, I really do. Like I do all those that have been brainwashed by the fear-mongers that have thrusted their lies upon us all. Thankfully for those willing to listen, Joe Rogan and others like him, are willing to sacrifice their “good name” to part the clouds of conspiracy and bring in some light.
Joe Rogan isn’t alone in his beliefs and he does not preach. He brings in experts that have spent their entire careers studying the very subjects he brings them on to discuss. He challenges them when he needs to if he questions something they’ve said, but he also lets them speak. That’s what they were brought on to do. If the man that helped invent the mRNA vaccine, Dr. Robert Malone, can’t talk about the risks associated with that technology, than who can? And if Joe Rogan can’t have experts like that come on his show to question the information being shoved down our throats, than who will?
Otherwise, we will be left to swallow it like another Big Pharma pill, brought to you by Pfizer.
